Defensible Scope 3 hotel reporting — built into the booking.

Every hotel night your team books through IMPT retires 1 tonne of UN-verified CO₂ on-chain, with a booking-ID-tied receipt your auditor can verify in seconds. No premium on the rate. No bolt-on calculator. No spreadsheets at year-end.

Built for sustainability and travel teams reporting under CSRD (EU), SECR (UK), CDP, SBTi and ISO 14064.
TL;DR — for the head of sustainability

CSRD ESRS E1 forces you to disclose, monitor and (for many) reduce business-travel emissions including hotel nights. Most companies stitch this together post-hoc with DEFRA factors, supplier surveys and offset purchases the auditor can't trace. IMPT for Business retires verified credits at the moment of booking, ties the on-chain transaction to the booking ID, and hands you the auditor pack monthly. One PDF + CSV. Same room rate.

How IMPT for Business plugs into your stack

  1. Connect your TMC or use direct.Run alongside TravelPerk, Navan, Egencia or Amex GBT as a verified-offset hotel layer — or have your team book direct via a private corporate URL.
  2. Travellers book at standard wholesale rates.Same inventory you'd see on Booking.com or Expedia. No carbon premium added to the line item — the offset is paid from IMPT's commission.
  3. Each booking auto-retires 1 tonne CO₂.UN CDM / Verra-verified credits, retired on-chain, transaction hash tied to your booking ID and traveller record.
  4. Monthly auditor pack lands in your inbox.PDF + CSV: bookings, room nights, kgCO₂e calculated per GHG Protocol / DEFRA, tonnes retired, on-chain hashes, total Scope 3.6 emissions and offsets for the period.

What's in the auditor pack

  • Per-booking line item: traveller, hotel, country, room nights, dates
  • kgCO₂e per booking under GHG Protocol Scope 3 Category 6 methodology
  • Tonnes retired + UN/Verra credit reference + on-chain transaction hash
  • Period total (calendar month or fiscal quarter) for ESRS E1 / SECR / CDP
  • Year-to-date rollup mapped to your reporting framework of choice
  • Auditor read-only link — your Big 4 / mid-tier assurance team can verify hashes independently

Why finance and sustainability teams switch from offset-as-a-bolt-on

CSRD assurance is moving from limited to reasonable. Audit teams are starting to push back on retroactive offset purchases that can't be traced to the underlying activity. IMPT closes the gap.

Built for the people who own the disclosure

Sustainability / ESG

You sign the disclosure

Move Scope 3 Category 6 (hotel) from your highest-risk row to your most-defensible. Every tonne traceable to a booking. Every booking traceable to a traveller.

Corporate Travel

You don't change tooling

IMPT plugs in alongside your existing TMC, or replaces direct-booking spend. Same wholesale rates. Same approval flow. Add ESG defensibility at zero cost increase.

Finance / Audit

You stop chasing certificates

Monthly export, mapped to GHG Protocol and ESRS E1. Auditor link gives independent verification of every retirement. Year-end takes hours, not weeks.

30 minutes. Then a sample auditor pack from your last quarter of travel.

Send us a redacted CSV of last quarter's hotel bookings (or aggregate room nights by country). We'll send back the auditor pack you would have received from IMPT — with verified retirements, mapped to ESRS E1.

Frequently asked

Does this satisfy CSRD Scope 3 Category 6 reporting?

Yes. ESRS E1 requires GHG inventory disclosure including business travel. IMPT issues a per-booking, booking-ID-tied retirement against UN CDM / Verra credits, retired on-chain. The monthly export gives your audit team the underlying data and verifiable retirements needed for limited or reasonable assurance on E1 disclosures.

Is this a separate booking tool, or does it plug into our TMC?

Both. IMPT can sit alongside TravelPerk, Navan, Egencia or Amex GBT as a verified-offset hotel layer, or be used directly by travellers via a private corporate URL. Hotel rates match standard wholesale; offset is funded from IMPT's commission, not added to the line item.

What about Scope 3.6 air travel?

Hotels first. Our partners on the air side (Sustainable Aviation Fuel allocation, contrail-aware routing) integrate via the same monthly export. We're happy to co-design the air-travel layer once hotels are running.

Is this insetting or offsetting?

Offsetting using high-quality registry credits (UN CDM and Verra), retired on-chain so the retirement itself is publicly auditable. We can also support inset / book-and-claim arrangements for clients with existing supply-chain commitments — covered in the demo.

What does pricing look like for the corporate?

There is no premium on the room rate; the rate matches what your TMC sees from the same wholesaler. The offset is funded from IMPT's existing booking commission. For volume customers we layer in a monthly reporting fee covering the auditor pack and dedicated success — typically dwarfed by what you'd pay for a separate offset programme.

Who is behind IMPT?

IMPT is a hotel-booking and carbon-offset platform operating across 195 countries with 1.7M hotel URLs. Co-founded by Mike English (CTO) and Denis Creighton (CEO). The carbon mechanic is verified; on-chain retirement is the default, not the upsell.

The next CSRD reporting cycle starts in months, not years.
